A native of Alabama, she now lives and gardens on a mountainside in Floyd, VA, with a goal of eating something good from the garden every day of the year. Her new book, coming in March 2017, is titled Homegrown Pantry: A Gardener’s Guide to Selecting the Best Varieties & Planting the Perfect Amounts for What You Want to Eat Year Round.
