Scholarships and Volunteer Opportunities

Beginning Farmer Scholarships Available 

Grow Appalachia and Berea College are offering full scholarships to the 22nd annual Virginia Biological Farming Conference. These scholarships are limited in number and will be rewarded on a rolling basis until all of them are filled. The scholarship covers full registration to the Conference and will be rewarded to beginning famers (farmers who have operated a farm or ranch for not more than 10 consecutive years). The application to apply for a scholarship is HERE.

Veteran Scholarships Available 

NCAT is offering a limited amount of scholarships to military veterans in the Southeastern U.S. who would like to attend the VABF Conference.  NCAT will award scholarships to cover registration costs of up to $250 for military veterans who want to learn about sustainable livestock production and farm business at an agricultural conference. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.  The application is available online at ARMEDTOFARM.ORG/APPLY. Veterans in the Southeastern U.S. who are raising livestock will receive priority. Veterans who receive a scholarship will be responsible for their own conference registration. Recipients must submit a conference registration receipt in order to be reimbursed.

VABF Conference Volunteer Application

VABF is offering 50% off Conference Registrations and Pre-Conference Registrations to accepted volunteers. Volunteers accepted on a rolling basis until positions are filled. Volunteers will be able to pick their jobs/shifts before the Conference. Find out more info and APPLY HERE!
