Food forest & community space in RVA

ATTENTION: green thumbs, artists, musicians, yogis and community activists in the Richmond area!

I’m envisioning a food forest based on permaculture design principles AND a community space for yoga/education/music/art. It would be run by a worker-owned cooperative. It’s an evolving project with principles that align with Atlanta’s Urban Food Forest and Richmond’s Fonticello Food Forest, but also focuses on a community space to offer yoga classes, sustainability workshops, art & music expressions, and whatever else the cooperative decides should serve the local community.

I’m in the process of forming a steering committee, and that’s where you come in! All kinds of skills and energies — from a one-time volunteer consultant to others interested in investing part-time hours (yes, it will take a tremendous amount of labor) — are needed to get this project off the ground.
