We’re looking for bitternut hickory trees (Carya cordiformis) to gather nuts from this fall.
We’re between Staunton and Lexington and this is our target area but we’re willing to travel further afield (Harrisonburg south to Roanoke) if nuts are plentiful.
On a smaller scale we’re also looking for:
Black Oak (Quercus velutina) acorns
Shagbark Hickory (Carya ovata) nuts
Butternut A.K.A. White Walnut (Juglans cinerea) nuts
Please get in touch at the email address below if you know of trees dropping nuts and we’ll get back to you shortly.
Thank you kindly,
Ben Richmond
