RFP for Innovative Cover Cropping SystemsSustainable Chesapeake is pleased to announce the release of a request for proposals for innovative approaches to getting more cover crops on the ground, especially after soybeans. Because soybeans are harvested later in the season, it can be challenging to get cover crops established before winter weather sets in. Farmers and agribusinesses located in the Chesapeake Bay watershed that have good ideas for how to overcome this challenge are encouraged to apply. The RFP is here and proposals are due on March 18th. For more information, contact Kristen Hughes Evans at Sustainable Chesapeake (804-554-3403). |
