Our Youth Program is designed to engage and inspire kids to connect with nature and farming. We will create a dynamicMontessori-inspired classroom setup that fosters learning and creativityConference speakers and educators will actively engage with our young participants through hands-on activities and demonstrations centered around conference themes. Kids will learn about pollinators, plants, seed saving, and more. A wide variety of nature-based art and reading materials will also be available. Weather permitting, we will explore and play in the outdoor areas of Hotel Roanoke, please dress appropriately!

Our Teen Program is designed with a clear focus on sustainable farming and advocacy. Speakers will join us for tailored mini-sessions and hands-on activities. These workshops will delve into more advanced topics and provide a socially-minded approach to community involvement. Teens will also attend portions of conference sessions, as selected by the group. These sessions will be followed up with group discussions to foster critical thinking and collaborative learning. Our goal is to empower teens to explore the world of sustainable agriculture and discover how they can make a difference in their communities.

The programs will be led by experienced educators from Youth Outdoor Workshops, an organization that provides nature based education programs in Richmond, VA. Children will be closely supervised and may only be signed out by the registered parent(s) or guardian(s) listed on the registration form.

Thank you to Carter Farms, Carter Brothers and Africulture for their generous sponsorship of the Youth & Teen Programs!
